Getting past building security guards is never easy in a Post 9/11 world. But in San Francisco there is a building in the Financial District with a roof top garden on the sixth floor that has been designated "public space." Fair compensation, thought some city planner, for allowing the developer to build a high rise with no open space at street level. I shot this at dusk as I was leaving my office. The effect was achieved by simultaneously clicking the shutter and zooming out with my lens.
